序

在中国正逐步走向世界舞台中心的时代背景下，文运与国运相连。中国如何表达时代强音，面对外来文化如何走出去，继而面向世界彰显中国文化的力量，是社会各界共同的责任。深圳这座改革开放先锋之城，创造了经济与城市建设发展的奇迹，也将持续发力成为彰显国家文化软实力的现代文明之城。2020年，正值深圳经济特区建立40周年之际，在中国美术家协会、中共深圳市委宣传部、深圳市文学艺术界联合会和中共深圳市龙岗区委、龙岗区人民政府的通力合作下，第二届深圳大芬国际油画双年展（以下简称“大芬双年展”）顺利举办，这是深圳文化可持续发展的有力见证。

      2018年举办的首届“大芬双年展”，成为当年国内参与国家最多的国际油画双年展，在多元，开放并不断变化的国际语境下，让艺术为人类精神创造的可能性开启了更为广阔的维度。第二届大芬双年展继续坚持推崇富有创意、彰显个性的油画作品，尤其注重绘画性、学术性和艺术性，不断向外辐射，以更坚定的信心奠定艺术创作的风向标。本次展览以“家园与共生”为主题，这是通过对近年国际形势、环保趋势、资源危机等全球性问题长期关注和思索提炼出的关键词，同时旨在以油画艺术的方式自觉对****总书记关注的“人类命运共同体”建构进行响应，倡导艺术家用绘画语言与人类生存家园对话。突如其来的新冠疫情放大了这一主题的现实意义，也激发了艺术家们的创作热情和灵感。

      本次“大芬双年展”共征集到66个国家及地区投稿的4475件油画作品。艺术家的参与度与展览的国际关注度都有提高，入选作品在数量与质量上均有提升，艺术面貌丰富，创作形式多样，既有对个人内心世界的细腻表达，又有对文明社会的深度思考，反映了艺术家对同一展览主题的个性化艺术表达、对人类家园的共同关注与体察。展览的如期举办意义重大，在抚慰人心与自我反思之间，让生态文明与人类共生的理念深入人心。

      希望两年一次的“大芬双年展”能不断开阔我们的胸襟和视野，积极学习和借鉴世界优秀的文化成果，积极推动中华文艺走向世界，结合时代需求传承和发扬中华优秀传统文化，传承和弘扬中华美学精神，做到中西兼蓄、融会贯通，不断推动社会主义文艺事业大发展大繁荣。站在新时代的新起点上,希望中国油画继续坚持以人民为中心的创作导向,不断进行美的发现和美的创造,以无愧于时代的优秀作品弘扬真善美、传递正能量。

Under the background that China is gradually moving to the center of the world stage, the literary movement is connected with the national movement. How China expresses the strong voice of the times, how to go out in the face of foreign culture, and then to the world to show the power of Chinese culture is the common responsibility of all sectors of society. Shenzhen, a pioneer city of Reform and Opening up, has created a miracle of economic and urban construction and development, and will continue to make efforts to become a modern and civilized city that demonstrates the power of national culture. In 2020, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, with the cooperation of the China Artists Association, CPC Publicity Department of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and CPC Shenzhen Longgang District Committee and People's Government of Longgang District, the Second Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale, Shenzhen (hereinafter referred to as the "Dafen Biennale") was successfully held, which is a powerful testimony to the sustainable development of Shenzhen's culture.

      In 2018, the first Dafen Biennale became one of the international oil painting biennale with the largest number of participating countries in China. In a diversified, open and constantly changing international context, it opened up a broader dimension to the possibility of art for the human spirit. The second Dafen Biennale continues to uphold creative and individualized oil paintings, with particular emphasis on painting, academic and artisticaspects, continuously radiating outwards, and setting the vane of artistic creation with firmer confidence. With the exhibition theme of "Home and Co-existence", This is a key word refined through long-term attention and reflection on global issues such as the international situation, environmental protection, and resource crisis in recent years. In response to the construction of a "community with a shared future for mankind" that the Secretary General Xi Jinping is concerned about, he advocates that artists use painting language to dialogue with the homeland of human existence. The unexpected Covid-19 pandemic magnified the practical significance of this theme, and also inspired artists' creative enthusiasm and inspiration.

      A total of 4475 oil painting works submitted by 66 countries and regions have been applied for this exhibition, and the engagement of artists and the international attention of the exhibition have elevated. The selected works of this exhibition have improved both in quantity and quality which the works have a rich artistic appearance and diverse creation forms. The works not only express the personal inner world, but also have in-depth thinking about civilized society, reflecting the artists’ individualization under the same exhibition themeand the common concern of human home. Dafen Biennaleshows its great significance in comfortingand self reflection, embedding the concept of ecological civilization and human co-existenceto people’s heart.

      Dafen Biennale will continuously broaden our minds and horizons, actively learn and value the world’s outstanding cultural achievements, as well as actively promote Chinese literature and art to the world, inheriting and carrying forward the excellent Chinese traditional culture in accordance with the needs of the times. Also, it carries forward the spirit of Chinese aesthetics, achieve both Chinese and Western integration and continue to promote the great development and prosperity of socialist literature and art. Standing at a new starting point in the new era,Chinese oil paintings will continue to adhere to the people-centered creation orientation, continue to discover and create beauty, and promote truth and goodness  with outstanding works worthy of the times and express positive energy.
