    The first version of the painting "The Wedding" appeared in 1972. The artist often comes back to the topic of "My House" where he was born in 1938, where he grew up, experienced a war with his mother, where there was a lot of joy, where there was grief. His home is the concentration of that post-war life that crashed into memory. This house and its windows are always with him. No more at home, no more mom and dad, no brother, no friends. But images live in memory. Every window has its own life, its own history. He made this painting specifically for his exhibition at the National Museum in Belarus. Completed in 2015 .

    This work basically shows different culture in the world, it demonstrates how all life is inter connected. But the art goes much further than simply creating a representation. It exerts a hypnotic effect on the viewer, allowing him to actually experience the energy on an emotional and instinctual level. For many it is a powerful transformational experience, allowing them to connect to a part of themselves and a world they never know existed.

    The artist develops a specific poetry of the everyday, which allows new insights into seemingly profane subjects. Her paintings reveal insights and outlooks. They play with shadow and light. Backlight turns figures into silhouettes. The background pushes forward and embeds the silhouettes in color. The superficial resigns and is put into relation to the painted surroundings. Objects fade through surface and contour. The accidental gains importance through color. Color is perceived as an abstract and sensual art which transforms into something pictured. The outside is a gateway for the inside, outside landscape turns to inner landscape.

    The landscape in “The longer path” is a visualization and representation of an inner state of the figures in the composition. The work is painted in thin layers, left almost unfinished and simplified with a focus on the atmosphere and the metaphysical space around the actors-the little group of people with their kites in the air. The scene is dreamlike, build with a pale color palette, open for different interprets, questioning the common- Where are those people from and where are they going?

    The interaction between space and time, unconscious ideas and a sense of the impact of the natural world, "Long Bien Dream" has made me dream again and again. Dream on behalf of my country's capital, the Old House and the ancient bridge, as a couple entangled together in a noisy tangerine space wrap, seemingly faithful whilst transcending time… Until one day, everything is ruined. Memories of Long Bien or the Old House will now only exist in nostalgia. Dreams of a road, a bridge, or a city are what I want to leave in art, because "culture is what remains after everything has gone."

    Adva Karni’s painting is figurative, she works in a number of techniques on different surfaces, Influenced by the photographs she takes. The inspiration is mainly related to images from her immediate surroundings: family, friends, acquaintances, etc. And "Chris and Sarit", Oil on linen, is part of the "Four Days of Collective" series. The series follows several years after the meetings of a group of friends in a Bedouin encampment in the desert. The space Adva created for “Chris and Sarit” is a closed environment in which the characters are in a world of their own regardless of the passing time.
